I couldn't stick with a single career aspiration while growing up — a universal experience among most children, I'm sure. But it was during my early undergraduate education where the opposite interests and indecision didn't feel so universal compared to my declared, on-track college friends.
Rather than continuing to research and weigh the pros and cons of my evolving childhood career go-tos (journalist, teacher, and the very vague-but-powerful businesswoman), I turned my attention away from the endless possibilities of 'what' and focused on 'how.' How could I be all of these versions of myself?
I earned a Bachelor's in Media Management and Ethics from St. John Fisher College (Rochester, NY). It was a path of strategizing, writing, speaking, planning, and advising that does not require me to settle.
I've since worked and volunteered with more than 40 nonprofits, startups, and socially conscious businesses across a spectrum of causes and industries on social media management, community engagement and programming, PR, speech and interview preparation, corporate sponsorship, event planning, intern hiring, integrated marketing strategy, and direct services. My work style is grounded in empathy and flexes across agency, in-house, freelance, remote, and board of director dynamics.
